This electric hypercar, hailing from Croatia, boasts a strikingly low profile, initially suggesting a potential challenge in entry. However, its upward-lifting doors, akin to a Lamborghini’s, cleverly accommodate entry without the risk of head bumps as one settles into the driver’s seat.

While mastering the controls requires some initial familiarization—such as shifting gears with a prominent knob beside the steering wheel and adjusting the power seat via touchscreen—the overall operation is straightforward once learned.

Simplicity characterizes the entire driving experience, despite the staggering 1,914 horsepower it commands.

Upon hitting the road, one immediately notices the excellent visibility afforded by the Nevera—a rare trait among vehicles of its caliber. Unlike many other low-slung supercars, maneuvering in traffic is made easy by the sufficiently sized rear window and effective side mirrors.

Moreover, the Nevera emits just enough mechanical sounds from its four electric motors to remind occupants of its extraordinary performance, without overpowering conversations. This balance of power and refinement serves as a constant reminder of the vehicle’s exceptional nature.

Indeed, the Nevera stands out in the hypercar realm, justified by its price tag of slightly over $2 million. The accompanying video captures its allure comprehensively.

The story behind Rimac adds further intrigue. Founded by Mate Rimac, Croatia’s sole automaker, the company’s journey began with Mate’s experimentation with electric vehicles following a teenage racing mishap. Despite initial challenges, Rimac’s expertise attracted substantial investments from industry giants like Hyundai and Porsche, solidifying its position as a premier consultant for high-performance EVs.

Named after Croatia’s intense summer storms, the Nevera exemplifies Rimac’s prowess in EV technology and realizes Mate Rimac’s dream of creating a supercar in his homeland. Sporting a four-motor setup and a 120 kWh battery pack, it offers a remarkable range of approximately 300 miles under typical driving conditions.

However, its true standout feature lies in its astonishing power output—1,914 horsepower and 2,360 newton-meters of torque—propelling it to a top speed of 258 mph, with a lightning-fast acceleration of 0-60 mph in just 1.74 seconds.

The seamless coordination of its four motors ensures unparalleled handling, allowing the Nevera to navigate corners with remarkable precision. Despite its substantial weight, clever engineering ensures that the car feels agile and responsive, further enhancing the driving experience.

Visually striking yet tastefully designed, the Nevera exudes sophistication with flawless carbon fiber exteriors and luxurious leather interiors. Reflecting national pride, its design features pay homage to Croatia’s heritage, notably with side intakes styled after the traditional cravat.

Priced at 2 million euros, or slightly over $2.1 million, and with only 150 units planned for production, the Nevera is an exclusive masterpiece destined for the most discerning of enthusiasts.
