Nio, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has revealed the outcomes of three distinct range assessments carried out with their latest ET7 model. These assessments hold significance not only due to the ET7 achieving over 1,000 km on a single charge in three instances but also because of the innovative semi-solid batteries integrated into this new model.

The company disclosed the road test results, citing that one vehicle journeyed from Shanghai to Xiamen, covering 1,046 km before exhausting its power, while another traveled from Beijing to Hefei, spanning 1,062 km before halting. The third car, navigating from Kunming to Zhanjiang, covered 1,070 km before needing a recharge.

During its most extended expedition, the ET7 transported approximately 200 kg of cargo, ascended to an altitude of 1,875 meters above sea level, achieved a maximum speed of 118 km/h, and maintained an average speed of 83.7 km/h, as reported by Chinese sources. The entire journey took 12.8 hours to complete.

The semi-solid electrolyte battery can store 150 kWh of energy, equivalent in size to a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery. Despite holding 50 percent more energy, it only adds 20 kg in weight.

These remarkable range test revelations coincide with the commencement of pre-orders for the 2024 ET7, which commenced on April 16 in China.
